Tree Hole Mosquito

Many residents have been mistaking their local “Tree Hole” mosquito for the “Asian Tiger” mosquito.

May contain: insect, invertebrate, animal, and mosquito

If you suspect you have  seen an Asian Tiger mosquito, it is always important to save the specimen for identification by your local mosquito abatement staff.

The “Tree Hole” mosquito is smaller, however it exhibits the same brilliant white bands as the “Asian Tiger” mosquito.  “Tree Hole” mosquitoes will bother you outdoors during the day and evenings.  They commonly breed in Oak tree holes holding water.
